They can tolerate a wide range of light conditions, including low light..

..but thrive in partial sun to partial shade in bright indirect light.

The sword-shaped leaves may be scorched by direct sunlight.

Though it’s more expensive, I would like to have one.

I saw Star Sansevieria and I had to buy it immediately!

It took more less 7 days to wait the plant, and finally all arrived healthy…

…in great condition and perfect shape

You must pay attention for these:


Light and Temperature

First, your best bet for easy gardeners is to provide as much light as possible.

A bright window is a good option.

If there isn’t a lot of natural light, provide bright indirect lighting.

If you keep your Sansevieria zeylanica in low light, it will turn a darker green.

Outside, bright and direct sunlight is perfect most of the time.

The intense, scorching sun of summer can cause the edges of leaves to yellow.

Plants grown outside may have a lighter color.

Natural patterning may also be less distinct.

However, the bowstring hemp dislikes the cold because it is a tropical plant.

Temperatures below 50°F can damage the leaves.

A temperature range of 60°F to 75°F is ideal.

Fertilizer

To care sansevieria zeylanica is a light feeder that does not require much fertilizer.

A half-strength or lower application of general-purpose plant fertilizer once a month is sufficient.

Watering should only be done after the soil has dried out.

Once the soil has dried out, soak your plants thoroughly.

Stop watering potted bowstring hemp when you see water coming out of the pot’s base.

Water in-ground plants slowly and deeply to a depth of at least 3-4 inches.

Ah one more thing, when the winter season is coming, you can reduce your watering frequency.

When winter time, the plant goes dormant and does not require as much water.

Sansevieria is active growth phase in the spring and summer, it will require more water.


It Needs To Pruning The Leaves

If the leaves on the plant’s outside fall over..

..cut them with a sterilized hori-hori knife or pruning shears.

As the plant becomes more crowded in its pot, one or two leaves will usually flop over.

If the leaves are healthy, use them as cuttings.

Otherwise, the only pruning required will be to remove dead or damaged leaves.

This should be a rare occurrence.

If the damage is only at the tip of a leaf, you may be able to simply trim it off.

Remove it at the soil level if it runs the length of the leaf.
