Aloe Vera
Did you know that aloe vera plants belong to the succulent family? As with their relatives, they enjoy the sun and prefer that their soil is completely dry between waterings. If you get a minor burn, like a sunburn, you can keep these small potted plants around.
Air Plant
They are interesting plants because they don’t require soil to survive. Plants like these are great if you don’t want to deal with soil or pots. Make sure your terrarium has an opening so the air can circulate freely if you choose to house your air plant in one.
Anthurium
It is easy to add bright pops of color, without taking up a lot of space, with smaller anthuriums. While they can tolerate almost any type of light, they will thrive in indirect, bright light.
Asparagus Fern
Although the asparagus fern is known as a fern, it actually belongs to the lily family (liliaceae). Give this plant some breathing space on either side so its leaves can fan out. Adding it to any shelf or table will add a beautiful splash of green.
Baby Toes
These cute plants also belong to the succulent family. Because of their small stature and resemblance to a baby’s toes, they are called yokes. Because of their unusual appearance, baby toes make great conversation starters.
Cast-Iron Plant
Cast-iron plants are hardy and can tolerate a wide range of light conditions and soil types. If you’re willing to give up a little floor space for a nearly indestructible plant, these are the plant for you.
Chinese Money Plant
It is known for how difficult it is to acquire these cute plants, as well as their beautiful round leaves. Chinese money plants are also known as missionary plants. Echeveria
Echeverias are among the most common types of succulents. Due to their easy care and small size, little plants like these are more commonly found on office and home desks. Overwatering is a common cause of death, however. Before giving your plants another drink, let the soil dry completely.
Snake Plant
As well as purifying the air, snake plants are easy to maintain. The plants grow vertically, so they’re perfect for tight corners that need some greenery. Indirect sunlight is ideal for snake plants, but they can survive in a variety of lighting conditions. Due to their origin in the desert, they can also survive long periods of time without water. The leaves of peperomia grow in dense clusters, making them ideal for small desks or shelves. Despite their thick leaves, they can endure periods of time without water. The plants can also survive under fluorescent light, but they grow best under bright, indirect sunlight.
